Ciné–Concert: Georges & Louis Schwizgebel
Georges and Louis Schwizgebel, father and son, invite you to embark on a journey through animation and music, a dialogue between image and sound inspired by such legendary works as “La damnation de Faust”, “Cendrillon” and “Le Roi des Aulnes”. Louis performs a piece on the piano associated with the subsequent short film. In celebration of his 80th birthday, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Chopin will accompany the following films by Georges Schwizgebel, the master of animation: “The Battle of San Romano”, “The Young Girl and the Clouds”, “The Man Without a Shadow”, “The Ride to the Abyss” and “Romance”. Finally, Louis will interpret the Schubert/Liszt version for solo piano for Georges’ film “Erlking”.
